Local Financial Professionals Reach Out To Those In Need

If we could sell our experiences for what they cost us,
we'd all be millionaires.

~Abigail Van Buren

As we all know by now, the economic malaise has taken its toll on just about everyone. Recent financial scandals and disappointing corporate ethics have only made matters worse.

We believe that small gestures are often just as impactful as grand ones. Therefore, we would like to announce the launch of www.HelpMarin.org.

We have assembled a team of local financial experts who have offered to volunteer their time to answer questions relating to investments, taxes, real estate, mortgages, insurance, divorce, estate planning, as well as many other finance related topics.

At the root of our concern is that many lower and middle class Marin residents are struggling to get good financial advice at a time when they need it most. We want Marin to remain a viable place to live for everyone, and we hope that www.
HelpMarin.org will be a successful contribution to Marin’s longstanding philanthropic culture.

We’ve based this grassroots venture on the philosophy that a little free advice can go a long way.  We also support the premise that small businesses can indeed make a big difference in our community, ensuring Marin County remains viable and accessible to the diverse community we enjoy.

If you, or someone you know, are struggling with a simple or complex financial problem, and are unable to afford adequate expertise, we encourage you to call our toll-free number or send us an e-mail.  We’ll ask a few questions and forward that information to an appropriate local expert.  Our volunteer will then contact you directly.

We acknowledge that www.HelpMarin.org may not solve all problems, but we’re confident that local experts can provide basic advice or be a preliminary sounding board.

It’s just that simple.

Sincerely,
Bruce Raabe
